Aberdeen's Hart To Amundi Asset Management

Aberdeen Asset Management vet Michael Hart as joined Amundi's alternative asset unit as deputy CEO and global head of business development.

Hart joins the firm's London office, replacing Franck Dargent, who left earlier this year.

Hart has more than 20 years’ experience in the alternative investment space, including his stint at Aberdeen where he served as global head of business development, hedge fund solutions. He worked with Bfinance investment consultants from 2000 to 2011 where he established and developed the institutional pension fund business. Prior to that, he worked on institutional and corporate business development at Morley Fund Management in London. Hart spent his early career in institutional business development in New York.

Amundi is a joint venture between Crédit Agricole (80%) and Société Générale (20%), created in 2010.
