Artivest Names Ex-Juilliard Analyst Tanenbaum as Director of Research

Technology-driven alternative investment platform Artivest has tapped former Juilliard School endowment senior analyst Irina Tanenbaum to be its director of investment research.

A veteran financial analyst, Tanenbaum has evaluated alpha-generating managers in energy, and real estate in addition to private equity and hedge funds.  For Artivest, Tanenbaum will leverage her experience and professional network to conduct due diligence on new managers and funds the company may introduce to its platform.

Before joining Artivest, she was a senior investment analyst covering private equity, hedge fund and long-only managers for the $1 billion Juilliard School endowment. Prior to Juilliard, she monitored a $520 million portfolio as alternative investments Analyst for the YMCA Retirement Fund.

“Entering the fourth quarter, we continue to see strong market demand for alternative funds typically available only at the institutional minimum size,” said James Waldinger, CEO of Artivest. “In Irina, we have a research professional who can help maintain the high-caliber of funds available to private managers and investors through the Artivest platform.”

Founded in 2012, New York-based Artivest offers provides access to a select assortment of privately offered alternative investment funds at lower minimums via a proprietary, technology-driven investment platform. Earlier this year, the firm completed a $15 million financing round led by KKR.
