Maitland Opens Miami Office To Support Growing Latin American Demand

Global advisory and fund administration company Maitland has opened a Miami office as the firm’s Latin American business continues to expand.

The new office will provide Maitland’s Latin American team with a regional base, giving their growing private and institutional client base access to on-the-ground support, according to the company. The new location is Maitland’s 15th across 12 countries.

Economic, regulatory and political instability in several Latin American nations are reportedly driving increased demand for Maitland’s services, especially for clients who have based themselves outside their country of origin.

“Since Maitland entered the LatAm market three years ago, we have been fortunate enough to work with some of the leading family offices in the region,” said Benjamin Reid, senior business development and client manager for Latin America, in a statement. “As we continue to grow, it is paramount that we locate ourselves closer to our clients – almost all of whom have a foothold of some sort here in Miami.”

“Being here allows us to provide a more seamless, local offering, and we have the expertise and linguistic skills to service this region to the highest standard,” he added.

Reid will be joined in the Miami office by Pedro Olmo and Camila Saraiva, who will serve as client relationship managers responsible for the day-to-day management of Maitland’s book of LatAm clients.

Founded in Luxembourg in 1976, Maitland is a global advisory and administration firm providing seamless multi-jurisdictional legal, tax, fiduciary, investment and fund administration services to private, corporate and institutional clients. The company specializes in complex, cross-border solutions, and fund administration for multiple investment managers and sponsors.

Maitland has more than $280 billion in assets under administration.
