Brandywine Global Investment Management, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Legg Mason Inc., announced it added three members to its global fixed income team.

Anujeet Sareen, CFA, joins the team as a portfolio manager and Alberto Boquin and Dorothee Rainis were hired as analysts.

Prior to joining the firm, Sareen served as managing director of global fixed income and as a global macro strategist at Wellington Management Company. Boquin most recently was with JP Morgan Asset Management where he served as vice president of global macro strategy, fixed income and currencies. Rainis previously was with ADA Investments.

“We have proactively phased in new talent during the past 10 years because it’s prudent to hire ahead of need,” Managing Partner Adam Spector said in a statement. “In hiring early and allowing professionals to meld into the team we put time on our side.”

Founded in 1986, Brandywine Global Investment Management offers a broad array of fixed income, equity, alternatives and asset allocation strategies. The Philadelphia-based firm has been a wholly owned, independently operated affiliate of Legg Mason Inc. since 1998. The firm manages approximately $70 billion for a primarily institutional client base. The firm also has offices in San Francisco, Montreal, Toronto, Singapore and London.

Baltimore-based Legg Mason Inc. is a global asset management firm with $670 billion in assets under management.
