Northern Trust Asset Management Names Joseph to Lead Consultant Relations

Northern Trust Asset Management has strengthened its investment consultant relations team with the appointment of Robert Joseph as global head of consultant relations.

In his new role, Joseph will lead U.S.-based relations with institutional consultants and collaborate with partners in Europe, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific to coordinate outreach across regions, the company said in a statement on June 28th. The appointment is new and effective immediately.

Joseph has 26 years of experience in the institutional asset management business. Prior to taking his new position, Joseph was managing director of investor and consultant relations at Evanston Capital Management for seven years. Beforehand, he held senior sales and product management roles at the former Allegiant Asset Management. Early in his career, Joseph worked in sales and investment product roles for Northern Trust. 

“Rob specializes in consultant relations and sales for both traditional and alternative strategies and has demonstrated leadership in establishing relationships with leading investment consultants,” said John Abunassar, head of sales and distribution in North America for the Institutional Group at Northern Trust Asset Management. “Rob’s addition to our team demonstrates the Institutional Group’s commitment to building productive, long-lasting relationships with the investment consulting community.”

Northern Trust Asset Management is a unit of financial services giant Northern Trust, which was founded in Chicago in 1889.  The firm has assets under custody of $6.2 trillion and assets under management of $900 billion in proprietary and multi-manager solutions across all markets and asset classes.
