Selwood Asset Management Marks First Year With Positive Performance, AUM Rise

Sep 19 2016 | 8:36pm ET

London-based alternative investment firm Selwood Asset Management has booked double-digit gross returns since inception in September 2015, and has quadrupled its assets under management over the same period, according to a person familiar with the firm's results.

The company now manages more than $350 million in liquid investment-grade credit opportunities in Europe and North America, the person said. Selwood's strategy aims to maintain a market neutral profile while embedding tail hedge features against extreme market scenarios.

Selwood was founded in 2015 by former Credit Agricole executive Sofiane Gharred with seed capital from Tages Capital. Malcom Butler, formerly COMAC’s chairman and Citigroup fund services chief, joined the company as COO earlier this year.
