Ogier Names Jersey Funds Specialist Haithwaite As Partner

Law firm Ogier has named Jersey funds and regulatory specialist Emily Haithwaite as a partner.

Haithwaite is a specialist in the formation, listing and winding-up of funds, as well as for sovereign wealth funds, funds of funds and investors investing into Jersey funds, the company said in a statement. She has almost two decades' experience acting for banks and asset managers.

Her expertise spans private investment schemes and family office funds to general securities, infrastructure, hedge and private equity funds, Ogier said. Haithwaite also has extensive regulatory experience, having advised many investment, trust company, fund services businesses and directors on their regulatory license applications and ongoing obligations, and is an expert on AIFMD regulation.

Prior to her new role, Haithwaite was a partner in the investment funds practice at Bedell Group, according to her LinkedIn profile.

Ogier provides advice on the British Virgin Islands, the Cayman Islands, Guernsey, Jersey and Luxembourg law through its network of offices that also includes Hong Kong, Shanghai and Tokyo. Headquartered in Jersey and established in 1867, it is the only law firm to advise on these five laws.
