Perella Weinberg Partners Forms Advisory Committee For Agility OCIO Business

Perella Weinberg’s outsourced chief investment officer division has formed a five-person strategic advisory board to provide strategic advice on business matters.

Formed in 2007, the company’s Agility platform is a provider of OCIO sservices and other outsourced investment solutions. The unit manages approximately $8.4 billion across a diverse client base of endowments, foundations, family offices, corporations, and other large pools of capital.

The new board members include: 

  • Chris Bittman - Agility CEO & CIO and partner, Perella Weinberg Partners
  • Catherine Clark - Founder & Director, CASE i3 Initiative on Impact Investing at Duke University
  • Michael Kennedy - Senior Client Partner, Korn Ferry
  • Erik Lundberg - Chief Investment Officer, University of Michigan
  • Robert Pozen - Former Vice Chairman, Fidelity Investments

Pozen, who now teaches at MIT’s Sloan School of Management, will serve as chairman of the new board, Perella Weinberg Partners said in a statement. 

“The opportunity for Agility in the OCIO space is considerable,” said Pozen in the statement. “On behalf of the board, we are excited to work with the Agility team to help them execute on their growth strategy while continuing to provide best-in-class investment solutions to their clients.”

Founded in 2006, Perella Weinberg Partners is an independent financial services firm providing advisory and asset management services to a global client base including corporations, institutions and governments. The advisory business advises clients on mergers, acquisitions, defense advisory, financial restructuring, private capital raising, and pension matters. The asset management business includes a suite of hedge fund strategies, private investment funds and outsourced CIO solutions. 

Taken together with its affiliates, the company’s asset management business has capital commitments and managed assets of approximately $13.6 billion.
