Lower middle-market private equity specialist Hilltop Private Capital has named former Lincolnshire Management executive Ed Moss as a partner after twelve years as a Managing Director at Lincolnshire Management.

In his new role, Moss is a member of the Hilltop investment committee and will focus primarily on investment sourcing and portfolio oversight, the company said.

Before joining Hilltop, Moss opened and headed Lincolnshire’s Los Angeles office and concentrated on sourcing buyout opportunities in the West. He began his career with Bank of America’s private equity group, where he rose to senior vice president and was subsequently a founding managing partner of Kline Hawkes and a founder of boutique investment bank Alexander Dunham.

Based in New York and founded last year, Hilltop Private Capital makes control-oriented and significant minority investments in business and industrial products and services companies in the lower middle market with revenues between $10 – $150 million.
