BlackRock Taps Reichel For Multi-Asset Strategy Role

Global investment management giant BlackRock has named former Berenberg chief investment officer Peter Reichel as a strategist on its multi-asset team.

In his new role, Reichel will be based in Frankfurt and report to Stephen Crocombe, BlackRock’s head of multi-asset strategies in EMEA. He will serve as a director and strategist for the multi-asset team, according to an article in Citywire, and will be a spokesperson for the team within the German market.

Reichel joined Berenberg in 2004 as a fund manager, subsequently serving as head of private asset management and ultimately CIO.  He started his new position in October. 

Headquartered in Hamburg and founded in 1590, Berenberg Bank is one of Europe’s leading private banks. The firm is active in private banking, investment banking, asset management and corporate banking.
