Emerging markets specialist Cartica Management has named former PIMCO executive Charlotte Taylor as the company’s new director of investor relations.

In her new role, Taylor will lead the firm’s investor relations efforts, the company said in a statement. She joins from Pacific Investment Management Company (PIMCO), where she served as vice president of account management responsible for managing and growing relationships with clients.

At PIMCO, Taylor contributed to the firm's macro outlook and strategy, advised clients on asset allocation, suitable investment strategies, structures and guidelines, and helped raise funds for several of PIMCO's alternatives products. Beforehand, she served as an emerging markets product specialist. Prior to joining PIMCO, she worked at the U.S. Department of Treasury as special assistant to the China policy team and Secretary Timothy Geithner, where she conducted analyses of Chinese economic data and growth trends, assisted with negotiations with China's Ministry of Finance, and worked closely with senior U.S. government officials.

Founded in 2008 by former IMF executives, Cartica Management is a global alternative asset management firm focused on active ownership of emerging markets companies. As of September 30, 2017, the firm had approximately $3.2 billion of assets under management.
