CVC Capital Partners Hires Hu To Lead CLO Origination

Alternative investment manager CVC Credit Partners has named former Nomura Securities executive Cary Ho as a managing director and global head of CLO origination.

In his new role, Ho will work alongside the CVC Credit Partners Global CLO team, according to a statement. He will be based in New York and report to Gretchen Bergstresser, head of U.S. performing credit. 

Prior to joining CVC Credit Partners, Ho was a head of credit structuring for Nomura. Beforehand, he was an associate director in the Office of Complex Financial Institutions at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation from 2009 until 2013. Beforehand, he held various roles at Credit Suisse Securities and Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette in high yield structured finance and the global leveraged finance portfolio strategy team.

CVC Credit Partners is the credit management business of CVC. Formed through a merger of predecessor firms that date back to 2005 and supported by a team of 49 dedicated investment professionals, the firm is a global credit asset manager with $17.9 billion assets under management as of 30 June 2017 deployed across performing credit, credit opportunities & special situations, and private debt strategies. The company has closed 36 U.S. and European CLOs since 2005.
