Alternative investment placement specialist Eaton Partners has announced the formation of a New York office, its ninth global location and the third since the company became a subsidiary of Stifel Financial in early 2016.

The new Eaton office will be located alongside Stifel’s existing space on Seventh Avenue in New York, the company said. The expansion reflects continued growth at the global placement agent.

The new office will be led and managed by Steve Eaton, a partner with Eaton Partners, the firm added. Eaton has 16 years of experience in the financial services industry, working in both the buy-side and the sell-side of the market, and focuses on the distribution of the firm's private equity, real estate and real assets offerings.

Joining Eaton in New York will be Michael Pilson, managing director; Scott Froehlich, head of hedge fund origination; and Robin Tyrangiel, SVP, Eaton said.

Beyond New York, Eaton Partners global footprint includes offices in Rowayton, Hong Kong, Chicago, San Francisco, Shanghai, Houston, San Diego and London.

Founded in 1983, Eaton Partners is one of the world’s largest placement agents and advisory firms for private fund sponsors. Since inception, the firm has participated in raising over $80 billion of institutional capital across more than 100 alternative investment funds and offerings, including LP & GP interests, co-investments and direct investment opportunities. The company raises institutional capital for investment managers across a full range of alternative strategies, including private equity, private credit, real assets, real estate, and hedge funds/public market strategies.
