Lodbrok Capital Taps Ex-CQS Exec Chief Sorab To Lead IR

Lodbrok Capital has named former CQS executive Adam Sorab as a partner and head of the company’s investor relations efforts.

In his new role, Sorab will be responsible for managing client relationships, the company said. He joins the firm from hedge fund CQS, where he spent the last 13 years and where he held various senior roles including head of investor relations.

Prior to CQS, he was was head of distribution in Europe for DB Absolute Return Strategies at Deutsche Asset Management. Before that, he was one of the founding members of Credit Suisse First Boston’s in-house hedge fund management operation responsible for client service and distribution in the CSFB Leveraged Funds Group.

The hire comes a few months after the launch of the Lodbrok European Credit Opportunities Fund in May 2017.

Founded in 2016 by ex-Farallon Capital Management European credit specialist Mikael Brantberg, London-based Lodbrok Capital focuses on stressed European credit opportunities where risk is mispriced due to some form of situation-specific complexity across corporate bonds, leveraged loans and asset backed securities.
