Värde Partners Taps Nova For Key Business Development Role

Global alternative investment manager Värde Partners has named former Neuberger Berman executive Ria Nova as head of Americas business development and investor relations.

In her new role, Nova will be based in Värde’s New York office and will lead the team responsible for developing and cultivating relationships with the firm’s investors in the Americas region, according to a statement. 

Nova brings nearly 20 years of industry experience delivering alternatives investment solutions to institutions, intermediaries and family offices to her new role. She spent the past 14 years serving in various leadership roles at Neuberger Berman in the U.S. and Asia, where she focused on the development and distribution of alternatives solutions including private equity and hedge funds.

Founded in 1993 by George Hicks, Marcia Page and Gregory McMillan, Minneapolis-based Värde Partners is an $13 billion global alternative investment advisor investing capital across multiple segments and markets including corporate assets and sovereign debt, residential mortgages, real estate, specialty finance and transportation. Värde sponsors and manages a family of private investment funds with a global investor base that includes foundations and endowments, pension plans, insurance companies, other institutional investors, and private clients.
