Neuberger Berman's Breton Hill Hires GSAM's Ramaswamy

Neuberger Berman’s quantitative management unit Breton Hill has named former Goldman Sachs Asset Management senior executive Ram Ramaswamy as managing director and head of investment solutions.

In his new role, Ramaswamy use the Neuberger Berman Breton Hill research platform to work with institutional and HNW clients to realize investment objectives, the company said in a statement. He will report to Breton Hill CIO Ray Carroll. 

Before joining Breton Hill, Ramaswamy spent 16 years at Goldman Sachs Asset Management in the alternative investments and manager selection group. 

Neuberger Berman’s Breton Hill team, based in Toronto, Canada, utilizes rigorous quantitative research and proprietary technology infrastructure informed by deep capital markets experience. The unit provides investment solutions across the risk and return spectrum, with a focus on alternative risk premia and investment solutions spanning equities, currencies, commodities and rates. The team manages approximately $2 billion in quantitative strategies.

Neuberger Berman was founded in 1939 and managed $284 billion across a wide range of equity, fixed income, private equity, quantitative, multi-asset and hedge fund strategies for institutions and advisors worldwide as of September 30, 2017. It acquired Breton Hill in September 2017.
