BTIG Expands Fixed Income Credit Expertise with New Hires

BTIG has announced that four professionals will join the firm in its New York City office as members of the firm’s fixed income credit team.

According to the firm, the four new employees, Christopher Ellis, Scott Gourlay, Richard Siegel and Michael Zitani, will bolster its fixed income credit team of sales, trading, sourcing and strategy professionals.

Ellis will join the team as a managing director, responsible for capitalizing on client opportunities across bankruptcies, restructurings and liquidations. Siegel will also enter the team as a managing director.

Gourlay will join the fixed income credit team as a director. Gourlay and Siegel will help the firm enhance its high-yield sales force.

Zitani will join BTIG fixed income credit as a director and he will focus on offering liability management for fixed income clients.

Before joining BTIG, Ellis was an executive director of global event-driven credit at UBS. Siegel was a managing director within distressed and high-yield sales and trading at Stifel. Gourlay previously held similar fixed income credit roles and served as a director at FBR. Zitani was a vice president within high-yield credit sales at Jefferies.

“Richard, Chris, Michael and Scott are welcome additions and important hires for the firm,” said Chief Operating Officer of BTIG Anton LeRoy in a statement. “With their considerable sales, sourcing and liability management experience, they will strengthen BTIG’s Fixed Income Credit platform.”
