Infinity Capital Partners Acquires Collins Capital’s Fund of Hedge Funds Portfolio

Infinity Capital Partners today announced it has acquired the fund of hedge funds business of Miami-based Collins Capital.

The transaction, closed in December last year, provides Infinity’s investors access to world’s most elite hedge fund managers, according to the firm.

Financial terms of the agreement have not been disclosed.

Infinity runs an alternative investment portfolio designed to serve a range of investors, including high-net worth individuals, family offices, wealth managers and institutional investors.

Collins Capital specializes in managing diversified multi-manager, multi-strategy portfolios of hedge funds. For the past two decades, it has been led by Dorothy Weaver, the former Chairman of the Board of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta’s Miami Branch.

“It’s not often that two industry players encounter such close alignment between the fundamentals of our investment approach” said Jeff Vale, partner and CIO at Infinity. “We believe their [Collin Capital’s] multi-strategy alternatives portfolio is a natural fit for our platform.

Infinity Capital Partners is an Atlanta-based alternative investment firm founded in 2002. Infinity deploys broad range of strategies across a wide range of security types and regions, including long/short equity, distressed securities, event driven, quantitative equity and securities arbitrage. As of July 2017, the firm has $490 million asset under management.
