BTIG Names New Head of Prime Brokerage Sales

Financial services firm BTIG has promoted Matthew Partain to its head of prime brokerage sales. Partain will join BTIG Prime Brokerage’s senior leadership team in supporting the ambitions of emerging fund managers and the ongoing needs of established funds. He will lead a team of experienced prime brokerage sales professionals regionally staffed in target markets.

Since joining BTIG in 2010, Partain has successfully onboarded several clients and cultivated long-term relationships. He will now be tasked with building out BTIG’s presence in key regions in the United States and beyond, according to a statement by the company.

“With 15 years of Prime Brokerage experience… Matt is a proven leader within the firm, and the ideal fit to manage the expansion of our high-touch sales force and our rapidly-growing client base,” said Brian Petitt, co-Head of BTIG Prime Brokerage, a business unit within BTIG.

BTIG offers solutions for hedge funds, family offices and separately managed accounts.
